Johnny Vaughan Life

Jonathan Randal Vaughan (born 16 July 1966) is an English television and radio presenter as well as a film critic.

On 95.8 Capital FM between 2004 and 2011, he was the main host of Capital Breakfast alongside Lisa Snowdon. Vaughan appears on weekdays from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. (commonly known as The 4til7 Thang) and The Kickabout), as well as a weekly column in The Sun newspaper analyzing recent film launches, including updates on weekdays.

Early life

Vaughan was born in Barnet, London, to an engineer father, Randal, and Fay, a psychotherapist.

Education

Vaughan attended St Andrew's Primary School in Totteridge, Barnet, and private boarding schools, Bramcote School, Gamston, Nottinghamshire, and Uppingham School, Rutland. During his time in high school, he displayed a natural knack for comedy, playing the violin, and singing.

Early adult life and imprisonment

Vaughan returned to London after high school and intended to become a writer. He worked in a variety of industries, from a grill to even starting his own business by selling boxer shorts.

In 1988, Vaughan, a 21-year-old man, was arrested for attempting to sell £15,000 of cocaine to undercover police officers in a hotel on the M1 motorway near Northampton. In the immediate aftermath of his initial success with Moviewatch, Vaughan confessed to being jailed for the selling of pornographic videotapes.

In an interview with the Daily Telegraph, Vaughan recalled the incident: In an interview with the Daily Telegraph, he recalled it:

He was sentenced to four years in prison for selling cocaine at Stocken Prison in Rutland. Vaughan, a prisoner who was released from jail, turned his life around and began writing as a reporter for the Peterborough Herald newspaper, focusing on legal issues in his column, Johnny Vaughan in the Courts.

Personal life

In August 1999, Vaughan married Antonia Davies, a long-serving costume designer. As a youth, the couple met when he was working in a video store. Elvis Costello's wedding was a hit at their wedding. In 2003, they lived in Wandsworth Common, South London. Nick Davies, the former foreign editor of the Daily Mirror, was Vaughan's father-in-law. They had two children and a bulldog, but they divorced in 2014.

Vaughan was welcomed into the Catholic Church at Westminster Cathedral in March 1999 as a result of his experience with incarcerated Catholic chaplains. Chelsea F.C. has been a fan of the Chelsea F.C.

He shaved his head in July 2008 to raise funds for the Capital Radio charity, "Help a Capital Child," of which he is an ambassador. Johnny and his partner had a son in July 2020.
