Jonathan Randal Vaughan (born 16 July 1966) is an English television and radio presenter as well as a film critic.
On 95.8 Capital FM between 2004 and 2011, he was the main host of Capital Breakfast alongside Lisa Snowdon. Early life
Vaughan was born in Barnet, London, to an engineer father, Randal, and Fay, a psychotherapist.
Education
Vaughan attended St Andrew's Primary School in Totteridge, Barnet, and private boarding schools, Bramcote School, Gamston, Nottinghamshire, and Uppingham School, Rutland. During his time in high school, he displayed a natural knack for comedy, playing the violin, and singing.
Early adult life and imprisonment
Vaughan returned to London after high school and intended to become a writer. He worked in a variety of industries, from a grill to even starting his own business by selling boxer shorts.
In 1988, Vaughan, a 21-year-old man, was arrested for attempting to sell £15,000 of cocaine to undercover police officers in a hotel on the M1 motorway near Northampton. In the immediate aftermath of his initial success with Moviewatch, Vaughan confessed to being jailed for the selling of pornographic videotapes.

Personal life
In August 1999, Vaughan married Antonia Davies, a long-serving costume designer. As a youth, the couple met when he was working in a video store. Elvis Costello's wedding was a hit at their wedding. In 2003, they lived in Wandsworth Common, South London. Nick Davies, the former foreign editor of the Daily Mirror, was Vaughan's father-in-law. They had two children and a bulldog, but they divorced in 2014.
