Johnny Yong Bosch Career

Life and career

As John Jay Bosch, Bosch was born in Kansas City, Missouri, and raised in Garland, Texas. When stationed in South Korea, his father was a soldier in the Army and met his mother. He was interested in martial arts from an early age, inspired by martial arts films and Bruce Lee. At first, he learned martial arts, emulating Lee's moves as well as Jackie Chan. Bosch said he ridiculed a lot when he was young and became a bully, but after researching kung fu, he made a change for the better. He played soccer and tennis in addition to martial arts, in which he gained several championships.

After being notified of the audition by his martial arts instructor, Bosch auditioned in Dallas for the Power Rangers show. In 1994, he joined Adam Park, the current Black Power Ranger, overtaking Walter Emanuel Jones in the second season of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers. When he got the role, Bosch shortened his middle name to Yong, which was part of his mother's given name, at the request of Saban, who felt his credited name needed to be more Asian. He did all of his stunts after his stuntman broke his leg in the movie Power Rangers: The Movie. He also stated that among all of the Rangers' various animal characteristics, he was related to a frog. In Power Rangers Zeo, Bosch's character became a Green Ranger. His last regular stint in the franchise was in Power Rangers Turbo, where his character transfers his Green Turbo Ranger powers to a new individual. In the second feature film Turbo: A Power Rangers Movie, Adam played Adam. Bosch said that "Power Rangers was a lot of fun, but it was a kid's show and very cheesy because of it, which made getting work after that was difficult. In addition, I didn't know squat about acting back then." Jason David Frank (who played Tommy Oliver), Jason Narvy (who played Skull), and Nakia Burrise (who played Tanya Sloan) were among his best friends on the set. He appeared in Power Rangers Overdrive episode "Once A Ranger" in 2007, where he said he wanted to go to New Zealand at the request of Power Rangers director Koichi Sakamoto. In addition to Wicked Game, also known as Extreme Heist, directed by Sakamoto and starring many other Power Rangers alumni, Narvy and Narvy appeared in the film Wicked Game, which was also known as Extreme Heist.

On kickstarter, Jason David Frank, Bosch, Jason Faunt, Ciara Hanna, Yoshi Sudarso, Chrysti Ane, and Jenna Frank were among the campaign for Legend Of The White Dragon, which featured Jason David Frank, Bosch, Jason Faunt, Ciara Hanna, Yoshi Sudarso, Chrysti Ane, and Jenna Frank.

In 2020, he directed his first film Ark Exitus, starring Jason Narvy.

Bosch made his voice acting debut on the cult classic anime film Akira in 2001. His other most well-known voice over role was Vash the Stampede in the title show Trigun, and he worked with Koichi Sakamoto on the film Broken Path. In the hit shonen anime Bleach, Bosch was also cast as the lead role of Ichigo Kurosaki last year. In 2007, Bosch co-starred in Hellbinders, a comic-book style action film. In addition to other works, Bosch also spoke Lelouch in Code Geass in 2008 and Izaya Orihara in Durarara in 2011. In the 2021 Netflix kaiju anime film, Yun Arikawa, Johnny Singular Point was a voiced by Yun Arikawa.

Firion, the protagonist of Final Fantasy II, has been voiced in video games by Bosch in the crossover games Dissidia: Final Fantasy and Dissidia 012 Final Fantasy. In 2011, he appeared in Super Street Fighter IV Arcade Edition, Tohru Adachi, and Yu Narukami's In the Persona 4 games and its anime version, Yang appeared in the Persona 4 games and its anime adaptation. Bosch loved voicing Nero in Devil May Cry 4 because he had to fly to Japan to do the motion capture. In the sequel to Devil May Cry 5, he reprised his role of voicing Nero. Bosch landed Artemis in Viz Media's redub of Sailor Moon, as well as Sailor Moon Crystal. Nate Adams from Yo-kai Watch, which has also aired on Disney XD in the United States, was also a lead character.

In Cartoon Network's Mighty Magiswords film, Broccoli Punch was performed by Broccoli Punch, a co-worker of Power Rangers actor Paul Schrier on July 4, 2017. In the second season two-part episode "The Incredible Tiny Warriors," Broccoli Punch reprised his role as Broccoli Punch, as well as playing the Giant Monster and Whiney.

Due to harassment charges against Mignogna, Bosch replaced Vic Mignogna as the representative of Broly and Sabo in the Dragon Ball and One Piece franchises in 2019.

Bosch became involved in music by showing himself how to play guitar. He plays vocals, songwriting, and guitar in his band Eyeshine. "Edge Rock" is a popular song that is described as "Edge Rock."
