Now that really is a posh potato! But how can YOU make it cheap-as-chips at home?

www.dailymail.co.uk, August 27, 2022
Forget the scallops; opt for filet mignon and leave the lobster. There's a new gourmet dish on the menu, and it's the last one you might expect. The humble potato is the ingredient du jour among discerning chefs, who are taking it from a simple side dish to centre stage. At Holborn Dining Room in London, there are nightly lines for a piece of its sell-out potato dauphinoise pie, while diners rave about Tom Kerridge's restaurant, The Hand & Flowers, in Marlow, Buckinghamshire, while diners rave about the potato buttermilk waffle.
