Jo In-sung (born July 28, 1981) is a South Korean actor.
He is best known for his roles in the television series What Happened in Bali (2004), That Winter, the Wind Blows (2013), It's Okay, That's Love (2014), The Great Battle (2006), A Frozen Flower (2008), Escape from Mogadishu (2021).
Early life
Zo In-sung was born and raised in Seoul's Gangdong District.
Zo studied simulation and event management at Chunnam Techno University. He later enrolled at Dongguk University as a Theater and Film major, but he was suspended in 2007 due to poor class attendance.
Career
Zo made his fashion debut in 1998 as a model for clothing company Ziozia. He began acting in 1999 through the MBC sipcom Jump, and in 2000, he appeared in a youth drama School 3 and in the second season of the sitcom Nonstop.
Zo first came to fame in 2001's television drama Piano, co-starring Go Soo and Kim Ha-neul. In Shoot for the Stars opposite Jeon Do-yeon, he was then cast in his first drama leading role in 2002, as an illiterate actor. He made his film debut in the film Public Toilet the year before. He appeared in multiple music videos of popular boy band g.o.d, a fellow SidusHQ artiste at the time, and was directed by actor Jung Woo-sung.
Zo appeared in three romantic films, the most notable of which was Kwak Jae-yong's The Classic, with Son Ye-jin and Cho Seung-woo.
In 2004, he returned to television in Bali's melodrama Something Happened, alongside Ha Ji-won and So Ji-sub. Something Happened was a huge success, with its final episode receiving a 39.7% rating. Both the Baeksang Arts Awards and the SBS Drama Awards awarded Zo Best Actor awards.
He appeared opposite Go Hyun-jung in her comeback drama Spring Day, a Japanese drama Heaven's Coin remake.

Zo enlisted in his two-year mandatory military service on April 7, 2009; he reportedly wanted to join the Air Force to carry on his father's footsteps. He spent 25 months in the Air Force and the Air Force military band, and was discharged on May 4, 2011.
Zo joined IOK Company after his deal with talent firm SidusHQ came to an end in March 2012.
In 2013, he co-starred in the melodrama That Winter, the Wind Blows, with Song Hye-kyo, a Japanese drama Forget Love (, Ai nante Irane yo, Natsu). During the bulk of its run, the drama reached the top of its time slot, and Zo and Song were lauded for their performances. Zo reunited with That Winter's teleplay writer and producer in SBS's medical drama It's Okay, That's Love, opposite Gong Hyo-jin. Zo received the Daesang (Grand Prize), the highest award for television at the APAN Star Awards.
Zoi Ji-woo was chosen as the ambassador of the National Tax Service in 2016.
Zo appeared in the crime thriller The King alongside Jung Woo-sung, directed by Han Jae-rim, in 2017. In 2018, he appears in the historical film The Great Battle.
