Jin Akanishi (Akanishi Jin, born July 4, 1984) is a Japanese musician, singer, songwriter, and actor.
He has been active since 1998, first as one of the two leading vocalists of the popular J-pop boy band KAT-TUN.

On February 2, 2012, Akanishi wed Japanese actress and model Meisa Kuroki in a private ceremony, only two weeks after they had announced official statements denying they were seeing one another. The marriage had a knock on Akanishi's career straight away, not only because he didn't notify his recruitment company, Johnny & Associates, that he was pregnant at the time of the wedding, but also because rumors began circulating that Kuroki was pregnant at the time of the wedding. His talent company had to make the decision to cancel his solo tour in reaction to the scandal. Akanishi and Kuroki have a daughter (Theia Akanishi Tia), who was born on September 23, 2012, and a son, whose identity has not been revealed to the public, who was born June 6, 2017. The family had returned to Japan having previously resided in Hawaii, and Theia was attending the American School in Japan.
