Career

In order to have a greater opportunity for acting roles, De Gouw moved to Sydney. She appeared in a variety of television series, many in guest starring roles.

Isabella, Kath and Kim's maid, premiered in the film Kath & Kimderella in 2012. Helena Bertinelli/The Huntress, a recurring appearance in the action-adventure film Arrow, moved to Los Angeles later this year.

De Gouw appeared on NBC's Dracula in 2013 as Mina Murray, Jonathan Rhys Meyers, and Oliver Jackson-Cohen. The series lasted only 10 episodes, and NBC announced on May 9 that it would not be renewed for another season.

In the WGN series Underground, De Gouw was portraying fictional abolitionist Elizabeth Hawkes. Ren Amari appeared in the 2017 film OtherLife, based on Kelley Eskridge's novel Solitaire.

De Gouw appeared in the Australian television film Riot, which focuses on the 78ers, the Australian gay rights movement that fought for decriminalization, recognition, and equality. In Leah Purcell's debut feature film, The Legend of Molly Johnson (2021), she played Sergeant Klintoff's wife Louisa.
