After a shooting that occurred not far from the show's production area on Wednesday, the team behind Chicago Fire was compelled to suspend filming. According to CWBChicago, a gunman and crew of A.A. Rayner and Son's Funeral Home on the city's West Side were firing from a corner opposite the set. The assassination gunman fired multiple shots at people before launching into a black SUV and escaping through an alleyway. According to the media outlet, it was not immediately clear who the gunman was firing towards. On Chicago Fire, a fire broke out nearby, causing confusion as the true firefighters were in the same uniforms as the actor firefighters.

How Ian 'Harold' Smith started the careers of Kylie Minogue, Jason Donovan and Margot Robbie

Neighbours has been credited with launching the careers of some of Australia's top international actors, including Margot Robbie and Kylie Minogue. But their careers may not have flourished if it wasn't for a phone call from Ramsay Street's lovable café owner Harold Bishop, played by Ian Smith. Smith, 83, who appeared in the soap for the first time in 1987, persuaded casting director Jan Russ to attend the program.
