Jesse James Life

Jesse Gregory James (born April 19, 1969) is an American television personality and former CEO of Austin, Texas-based Austin's Travis Speed Shop.

On the Discovery Channel, James was the host of the reality television show Jesse James Is a Dead Man on Spike TV and Monster Garage, as well as the documentary Motorcycle Mania.

Jesse James appeared in Tony Hawk's Underground 2 video game, and was the subject of a documentary based on Jesse James: Outlaw Garage, which ran on the Discovery Channel for a brief period of time in 2012.

Personal life

According to James' Discovery Channel website, his great-grandfather was the notorious outlaw's cousin. Eric James, president of the James Preservation Trust, who tracks claims of being a cousin of the outlaw, says the organization is unable to locate a person in the family tree and has requested that the trust obtain a family genealogy and DNA sample; he hasn't released the requested details.

James has three children: a daughter and a son with his first wife, Karla James, who were married from 1991 to 2002; and a son with his second wife, stripper/adult actor/producer Janine Lindemulder, who was married from 2002 to 2004.

On July 16, 2005, James married actress Sandra Bullock, his third wife. They met when she invited her 10-year-old godson, a Monster fan, to tour the Monster Garage.

Lindemulder, James' ex-wife who had been in federal jail for six months for tax evasion, fought to regain custody of her then five-year-old daughter with James, Sunny, after James was granted sole guardianship. James wanted to maintain sole guardianship, citing fear of the environment in which his daughter would be relocated if returned to Lindemulder. In December, James secured custody, and Lindemulder was given weekly visitation rights during the daytime.

A media scandal emerged in March 2010 after several women reportedly had affairs with James during his marriage to Bullock. Bullock cancelled European promotional appearances for The Blind Side due to "unforeseen personal reasons." James responded to infidelity by issuing a public apology to Bullock on March 18, 2010. "There is only one person to blame for this whole situation, and that is me," James said, prompting his wife and children to "find it in their hearts to excuse me" for their new "pain and shame." James' publicist reported on March 30, 2010, that James had checked into a rehab center "to deal with personal issues" and "save his marriage" to Bullock. Bullock had filed for divorce on April 23, 2010 in Austin, Texas, but not on April 28, 2010. Bullock also stated that she had continued with plans to foster a baby born in New Orleans. Bullock and James had started looking for their first adoption process four years ago. The child started living with them in January 2010, but they didn't want to keep the details private until the Oscars were announced in March 2010. Bullock continued the baby adoption as a single parent despite the couple's breakup and later divorce. The divorce was finalized on June 28, 2010, with "conflict of personalities" cited as the reason.

Kat Von D, a tattoo artist, confirmed that she and James were dating in August 2010. In January 2011, James and Von D became engaged. Von D's announcement in July 2011 that they had split. However, James and Von D's engagement in August 2011 was revived. Von D and James had broken up again in September 2011. During their marriage, Von D.B. accused James of cheating on her with multiple women.

James became engaged to professional drag racer Alexis DeJoria in late 2012. They married on March 24, 2013 at the estate of the bride's father, entrepreneur John Paul DeJoria. "Our lives were just going in different directions" in March 2020, James DeJoria after seven years of marriage.

Since late 2021, James has been involved with former adult film actress Bonnie Rotten. They married on June 25, 2022, 2022.

The California Air Resources Board suspended James in 2007 after state regulators found that he had sold motorcycles in violation of California's clean-air regulations. According to authorities, James' customized bikes exceeded the legal maximum of hydrocarbons by 11 times. The motorcycles did not have state-certified pollution controls on their fuel tanks, according to investigators. Between 1997 and 2006, the bikes were produced. James said he was unaware of rule changes that required small-volume manufacturers to comply with regulations. The CARB declined James' offer to recall and modify the uncompliant choppers. Since 2005, West Coast Choppers has manufactured emissions-compliant choppers. The fines, according to James, were excessive and meant to lead by example of him due to his company's success and actor Sandra Bullock's marriage, but CARB spokesmen said their enforcement efforts were directed at the entire custom industry, and that they were unaware of no request by West Coast Choppers to recall the motorcycles in question.

James was charged with $422,680 breach of contract by Michael Jones, a customer who retained James to build him a custom car, who pleaded that after spending $270,000 over two years, the car was not finished, and James told him that it would cost between $600,000 and $700,000. James' former counsel filed a new lawsuit in September against him for $327,533 in unpaid fees.

After a failed partnership between Jesse and Fortune Fashions, Fortune Fashions Industries, LLC, accused James of working with Walmart and stealing one of Fortune Fashion Industries' executives to work on the clothing line in 2010. The corporation claimed over 6 million dollars in damages, while attorney Lawrence H. Nagler, defending the LLC, said, "Jesse has taken the benefit of Fortune Fashions' labor and manpower to put this together." Joseph A. Yanny, James' attorney, made a strong case for him by showcasing his West Coast Choppers brand clothing in his own store and online long before he met Fred Kayne (the current owner of Fortune Fashions). The trial was decided in favour of James. The judge ordered Fortune Fashion Industries to reconsider the jury's decision, but the judge stated that they were "not entitled to any money from an unrelated line of clothing that was launched a year after the failed venture."

Us Weekly published a photograph depicting James in a German SS officer's hat and saluting him as he entered a rehabilitation facility when separating from Bullock. The photograph, which was taken in 2004 prior to James' marriage to Bullock, was meant as a joke and not a bigote, according to ABC News' show Nightline, and he was not a bigote. The hat was given from a Jewish mentor by James' lawyer, who added that James is not a neo-Nazi. We then published additional photographs of James and Nazi images from former West Coast Choppers employees' Facebook postings of James and Nazi imagery. According to the journal, a friend of James said that the "swastika deal" is "part of biker culture."
