Jerome Dillon is a professional musician best known for his time as a drummer with Nine Inch Nails from 1999-2005. * After his departure, Nearly, his own project's debut album reminder in December 2005, as well as a cd maxi-single for the song "Straight to Nowhere," will be released. Dillon co-wrote "All is Lost" a song from reminder that he co-wrote with 12 Rounds singer Claudia Sarne, was included in the 2008 film, Diary of a Nymphomaniac. In addition, an approved limited release live bootleg EP/DVD titled reminder Live 2006 was launched in August 2006. Dillon has been working as a composer on feature films since 2001. He was born July 16, 1969, in Columbus, Ohio, and attended St. Francis DeSales and Northland High School until 1987. Dillon joined pop-rock band Howlin' Maggie in 1994. Dillon left the band in July 1998 and migrated to Los Angeles. * Later this year, when visiting family in Columbus, Dillon, Howlin' Maggie's then manager, Sheila Scott, encouraged them to audition for Trent Reznor's Nine Inch Nails. * Reznor had since parted with long-time drummer and collaborator Chris Vrenna. Dillon made a sample of his work and was contacted shortly after with the opportunity to audition for Reznor. Dillon was subsequently asked to return to New Orleans two weeks later. "I was expecting it to be the same thing all over again." Rather, I stepped in and realized that it was more about a chat with me and the band. * Trent adored where I was coming from musically and thought it was appropriate to the new record's direction." On tours in favor of The Fragile and With Teeth, he was identified as the band's live drummer. Dillon also worked with Reznor in the studio as a multi-instrumentalist on subsequent releases: Things Falling Apart, And With Teeth. * His last appearance with the band was at the Hollywood Bowl, California, on October 1, 2005.
