Life and career
Shada began acting at the age of seven, shortly after escaping to Los Angeles with his family. He was inspired by his older brother, actor Zack Shada, to perform.
Shada first appeared in commercials. He started auditioning for voice acting and stage performances after receiving assistance from a voice-over agent. Young Kurt Diamond in No Rules was his first live action theatre role. He has since appeared in new live-action and voice acting roles, including playing young Charlie Pace in childhood flashbacks to Lost.
Jeremy Shada's agent approached him in 2009 about auditioning for Finn's role in Adventure Time; his brother Zack had been the original voice of Finn in the pilot episode of Adventure Time three years ago. Shada matched his voice with the voice of his brother in auditions with Adventure Time creator Pendleton Ward and the show's producers, which earned him the role.
Shada appeared in Nick Cannon's sketch-comedy film Incredible Crew in 2012. Cartoon Network released a music rap video named "Running Errands with My Mom," which features Shada performing and rapping the lyrics in June 2012. The video has now received over one million views.
Shada was homeschooled due to his acting schedule. Shada replied to a fan's inquiry on his Facebook page that he graduated from high school early in May 2013.
Shada, as well as his brother Zack, is a member of the pop-punk band Make Out Monday, which was formed in 2014. At the 2014 San Diego Comic-Con, the band appeared.
Shada married Carolynn Rowland, a Los Angeles Ballet company dancer, on March 8, 2020.
