Jennifer Lesley Ellison (born 30 May 1983) is an English actress, former glamour model, television personality, dancer, and singer.
Ellison is best known for her role as Emily Shadwick in the television soap opera Brookside, 2003, and in the 2004 film version of The Phantom of the Opera.
Ellison appeared on Dance Mums, the UK version of the American reality television show Dance Moms.
Personal life
Ellison attended Broughton Hall High School, a Catholic school for girls. She then attended St Edward's College for Sixth Form. She has two younger half-sisters. Kevin May and Jane May's parents divorced in 1986. Her mother remarried. She is close to her mother and stepfather David, who is a big sister.
Ellison and boxer Robbie Tickle began dating in May 2008 and were engaged in October of that year while on holiday in the Maldives. They married in Mauritius on October 10th, 2009, the following year.
Ellison has three children. She gave birth to her first son on February 4, 2010. It was a surprise when she learned she was expecting her second pregnancy. Career
Ellison studied dance from the age of three, first at a dance school in Liverpool, and then at the Elizabeth Hill School of Dancing in St Helens. She has obtained examination passes with the Royal Academy of Dance and appeared in instructional videos for the academy. She has also participated in examinations with the International Dance Teachers Association (IDTA) and gained Ballet and Modern Dance titles at the IDTA Theatre Dance Championships in 1996 and 1997, and in addition, she was given the Carl Alan Award for ballet in 1998. She was accepted into the Royal Ballet Lower School after deciding to pursue a career in dance. She left dancing to pursue acting.
Ellison competed on Ice in 2012 and made it to the semi-final stages. Jennifer Ellison hosted Dance Moms on Lifetime, Dance Mums in the United Kingdom from 2014 to 2015.
Ellison appeared in Brookside's soap opera Emily Shadwick from 1998 to 2003. When she fell from a window during a robbery, her appearance was 'killed off.'
