Jennifer Proske (born August 8, 1987) is a Canadian American actress best known for her role as Becca Crane in the film Vampires Suck.
Early life
Jenn Proske was born in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, to an American ex-professional dancer and a Canadian advertising creative director born in Slovenia, where she owns a sandwich store. Becca is her younger sister. When she was four years old, her family moved to Orange County, California. She became involved in children's stage shows: in a new version of Snow White, she portrayed Ticklish the Dwarf. When she was attending Tesoro High School, she kept on acting. She spent six months in Australia studying and working at the Sydney Theatre Company, led by Cate Blanchett and Andrew Upton. She received her BFA in Acting and Theatre Arts from Boston University College of Fine Arts in May 2009. She began working as a floral designer at the Saint Regis resort of Orange County and then moved to Los Angeles to become an actress.
Personal life
Proske proposed to actor Stephen Schneider in 2012. On May 26, 2013, the wedding took place. Proske gave birth to Ava Morata Schneider on March 28, 2015. Proske converted to Judaism, her husband's faith, shortly after marrying.
Career
Proske was recruited by Robert Harling in 2008 for her first professional role in Steel Magnolias after being involved in several shows as a high schooler and college student. In 2009, she starred Titania and Hippolyta in A Midsummer Night's Dream at Mysterium Theater of Santa Ana and appeared as Mariah in an Off-Broadway production of Pope Joan.
In Vampires Suck, she was cast in Becca Crane, a parody of Bella Swan from the Twilight saga. She had been preparing for the role of Iris, Alice Cullen's parody. Many critics generally dismissed Proske's results, but several commentators lauded his work.
In 2011, she appeared in The Infamous Exploits of Jack West and the pilot of the television series Home Game, which was never broadcast. In the eight and ninth episodes of CSI: New York, Serena, the assaulted daughter of a senator, appeared in November.
