Jelline Floriska van Houten (born 1 September 1978) is a Dutch actress.

She has appeared in Dutch films, musicals, and a television series.

She appeared in the British television series Fresh Meat as Sabine. She was a recipient of the John Kraai Musik Award twice, including in 2006 for her contribution to the Turkish children's fruit and in 2010 for her role in the musical Dromen... zijn bedrog.

Early life and education

Jelline Floriska van Houten was born in Culemborg, the Netherlands, on September 1, 1978, the niece of Margje Stasse and writer and broadcaster Theodore van Houten. She is Carice van Houten's younger sister. She then studied production design at the Netherlands Film and Television Academy in Amsterdam.

Personal life

Van Houten was married to Koppe Koppespoppe in 2016; the couple have two children.

Acting career

Van Houten made her film debut in Liefje (2001), while attending the Film and Television Academy. She had been selected for a Gouden Notekraker. "Her surprising debut has a lot in store for the future," the jury voted her.

Van Houten received a John Kraaijkamp Musical Award in 2006 for her leading role as Olga in the musical Turks Fruit (2005).

Sheila appeared in the musical Hair (2006). In 2010, she received another John Kraaijkamp Musical Award for her supporting role in the small musical group Dromen...zijn bedrog (2009). She appeared in Jackie (2012) alongside her sister Carice van Houten, and she was nominated for the Golden Calf for Best Actress but she did not win.

She appeared in the comedy series Tropenjaren in 2022.
