Jelena Karleu ic (born 17 August 1978) is a Serbian singer who has gained notoriety and fame thanks to her provocative career and often reinvented image, which has earned her acclaim and respect.
Karleu'a has also been praised for her outspoken opinions and occasional controversies in the media. Focus, a German magazine, referred to her as "Madonna of the Balkans," although W magazine compared her to Lady Gaga.

Early life
Jelena Karleua was born in Belgrade, SFR Yugoslavia, on August 17, 1978. Divna (1958-2019), and Belgrade-born police Capitan Dragan Karleu (1947), she is the only child to Slovenian-born journalist and radio presenter Divna (1958-2019). She claimed that her maternal grandmother was an Austrian countess with a street named after her, but that was denied by Austrian media and the City of Graz.
Karleua grew up in the Fontana neighborhood of New Belgrade, where she and her mother lived with her mother after her parents divorced. She attended Zemun Gymnasium but then graduated from the High School of Tourism in Belgrade. Karleua said she attended music school and played the flute as a child. Lepa Brena was one of her main musical influences growing up, and she cites it to her growing up.
Personal life
On September 23, 2004, Karleua married Bogoljub Kari, Serbian businessman Bogoljub Karis nephew, Bojan Kari. Their marriage was ended in March the following year.
In June 2006, Karleua began dating Serbian footballer Duko Toki. The couple were married two years later on June 28, 2008. They have two children, Atina (b.) and Atina (b.). (b. 2008) and Nika (b.) Career
Karleua made her debut in recording form at sixteen years old, with the support of singer Dragana Mirkovi. Diskos first album, Ogledalce (Little Mirror), was released on April 24, 1995, in 100,000 copies. Divna Karleua's mother arranged the annual Poselo 202 festival in the same year. Etn se momci (Guys, Get Married) was her sophomore album and was released the following year by PGP-RTS.
Vetice, vile, her next two albums - Vetice, vile (Witches, Fairies, 1997) and Jelena (1998) were released by ZaM. "Who Directs This Drama," "Jelena"), and "Ene Vole Dijamante" (Women Love Diamonds), two of Marina Tucakovi's (Women Love Diamonds) were among the songs that resulted from her debuts on these albums. Samo za tvoje oi (For Your Eyes Only) was released in Serbia and Montenegro under BK Sound in December 2002. The album was released in collaboration with Greek label Heaven Music. Phoebus and Marina Tucakovi wrote the R&B-influenced songs, while Toe Proeski performed the back vocals. She was also expected to perform in English with Heaven Music for the international market, and Serbian magazine NIN praised her as the "best Serbian export product." Karleua's four-year deal with the Greek name came to an end. Karleu'a performed a medley from Samo za tvoje oi in April 2003, where she was honoured for her "foreign break-through" award.
Karleua competed in February 2004 with "Moli Me" (Beg Me) in order to represent Serbia and Montenegro in the Eurovision Song Contest. She came in 11th overall, based on the jury's results. Despite receiving scathing feedback for her vocal delivery, Karleua was praised for her stage appearance. Magija (Magic) was her second album on City Records in February 2005. It was promoted with two music videos for the songs "Slatka mala" (Cutie) and "Upravo ostavljena"), which caused backlash from conservative and religious organizations for similarly featuring scenes with drag queens and Karleu crucified.
Karleua introduced the JK Revolution in February 2008, which was limited to 280,000 copies. Despite its commercial success, the album's promotion was also followed by several scandals. Karleua was put in jeopardy for her legendary studio session ("Tihi ubica"), which had been leaked to the public and sparked controversies of her vocal skills. She launched the live album and DVD from the show in November, two years later, immediately after the launch of her next album, which was certified platinum by the label. Diva's new pop-folk debuts were also a step forward from her previous pop-folk debuts, with dance-pop and electropop songs with hip-hop and R&B influences. In July and September 2012, respectively, the album was released with two music videos, "Krimi rad" (Criminal Work), starring Techa and "So" (Salt) starring Nesh.
Karleua announced her second Belgrade concert under the banner Viva la Diva Show on June 15, 2013. The live show began after more than an hour due to technological difficulties relating to video and audio recording, which were present throughout the series. Despite this, Karleu's was able to perform all of the songs. Viva La Diva Exhibition attracted 40,000 people, according to her show's director. She announced in September 2021 that she had decided not to leave Zvezde Granda after five years as a judge. Karleua performed with Marija erifovi and Sara Jo in front of the National Assembly of Serbia in front of the estimated crowd of up to 50,000 people on New Year's Eve.
