Jeff Hanneman Life

Jeffrey John Hanneman (January 31, 1964 – May 2, 2013) was an American singer best known as a founding member of the American thrash metal band Slayer.

Hanneman contributed lyrical and musical material to every Slayer album before his death in 2013 and wrote "Raining Blood," "Walking Heaven," "Seasons in the Abyss," and "Angel of Death," all of which have been performed at virtually every live Slayer performance since their respective compositions.

The ESP Jeff Hanneman Signature model was his own signature guitar.

Personal life

Hanneman married Kathryn in Las Vegas in 1989. They had met in 1983 before the introduction of the debut album Show No Mercy, in Buena Park, California, during a Slayer display.

When Hanneman was offstage, he was regarded as a reserved individual. Unlike the other members, he was extremely selective in socializing and seldom gave interviews. "If he didn't like you, he wouldn't hang with you," Araya said.
