Javier Cámara Rodr (born 19 January 1967) is a Spanish actor.

He appeared in the Pedro Almodóvar films Talk to Her (2002), Bad Education (2004), and I'm So Excited (2013), as well as the television series 7 Vidas (Seven Lives).

In season 3 of the Netflix series Narcos, he appeared in Cardinal Bernardo Gutierrez of The Young Pope as well as Guillermo Pallomari, the Cali Cartel's chief accountant.

Early life

Javier Cámara Rodro was born in Albelda de Iregona, province of Logroo, on January 19th. He obtained his acting chops at IES Laboral (his high school) and the Logro's Theatre School, then heading to Madrid to train at the RESAD. He served as an usher at the Froggaro Theatre, so he could pay for his formation.

Cámara made his debut in a stage play of El caballero de Olmedo directed by Miguel Narros in 1991, although his debut in Fernando Colomo's 1993 film Rosa Rosae came with a role.
