Jason Michael Lee (born April 25, 1970) is an American actor, comedian, writer, editor, skateboarder, and photographer.
He is best known for his role as Earl Hickey in the television comedy series My Name Is Earl, for which he was nominated for Best Actor in a Musical or Comedy television series in 2005 and 2006.
David Seville of the live action/CGI Alvin and the Chipmunks, as well as the voice of Syndrome in The Incredibles, are among his other credits.

Early life
Lee was born in Santa Ana, California, on April 25, 1970. Greg Lee, Lee's father, and Carol Lee, a homemaker, worked together to establish a car dealership. James (b.) is his older brother. 1968 (?) Lee was born in Huntington Beach and attended Ocean View High School. Lee, a hyperactive and vivacious boy, began skateboarding after his mother bought him a skateboard in the hopes that it would be used to burn excess energy. Lee spent the majority of his time perfecting his craft, which would eventually lead to him dropping out of Ocean View High School in order to turn pro.
Personal life
Carmen Llywelyn, a retired actress and photographer, married Lee in 1995. In 2001, the couple divorced. Llywelyn's resignation was attributed to Lee's dedication to Scientology as the root of their separation. Llywelyn's relationship ended when she revealed to her talent manager and fellow Scientologist Gay Ribisi (mother of actor Giovanni Ribisi) that she had read A Piece of Blue Sky, an anti-Scientology book. Llywelyn was sent by Lee two days after her talk with Ribisi and was designated as a Suppressive Individual.

Career
Lee was a competitive skateboarder in the late 1980s and early 1990s. He formed Stereo Skateboards in 1992 with fellow skater Chris "Dune" Pastras. The pair resurrecting the company in 2003, after it had been defunct for a few years. Lee and Pastras remain on the professional "Classics" team as of October 2013.
Lee was shot in the skateboarding company's Video Days promotional video, Video Days. In 2004, Lee's skateboarding was included in Way Out East!, a Stereo Skateboards film.
Lee is also featured in a short video on skateboard magazine The Berrics' "Jason Lee decided to come to the park" in August 2012.
Lee chaired the ninth annual Stand-Up for Skateparks Event in August 2012. The Tony Hawk Charitable Foundation's annual festival helps youth in low-income communities to "help create free, high-quality public skateparks for youth."
