The father of a tourist who was killed in a Grand Canyon helicopter crash has said 'justice has been served' and that he had promised to use his $100 million dollar reward for a flight safety campaign. Jonathan, 31, and Ellie Udall, 29, (pictured on their wedding day) were enjoying their honeymoon trip when their chopper burst into flames in 2018. Despite surviving the fire, the survivors died of burns in hospital later this year. When the crash occurred, the pair boarded the helicopter from Boulder City, Nevada, and was touring the Hualapai reservation, outside the national park's boundaries. Jonathan Udall's family will receive $24.6 million (£59.3 million) from its French manufacturer, Airbus Helicopters SAS, under the deal that was signed in Las Vegas on Friday. Mr Udall's parents, from Southampton, Hants, argued in the case that their son might have survived if not for the post-crash fire. Philip Udall (pictured left) said 'justice has been served' and that all helicopters will be outfitted with a 'crash-resistant fuel system,' which he hopes would help avoid fires breaking out after incidents similar to the one his son's was involved in. It comes after the news that brothers Stuart and Jason Hill, who were also injured in the accident, would not recover compensation if their mother did not pursue court action because it would not bring them back.'
