Career

Dolley performed onstage at 11 years old when he and one of his brothers competed in the Abbott and Costello "Who's First?" says the Abbott and Costello. It's a normal routine at a school talent show.

That year was his first acting debut. He was nominated for lead in the award-winning short film titled Chasing Daylight. On ABC's series Complete Savages, Mel Gibson portrayed him as T.J. Savage. After Complete Savages was postponed, Marty Preston appeared in the Disney Channel Original Movie Read It and Weep as Connor Kennedy and in the film The Air I Breathe as Marty Preston.

Dolley appeared in Duracell's commercial "Love Everywhere" campaign, which was released in 2006. Dolley appeared on the second edition of the Disney Channel Games in which he appeared in mid-2007. Dolley appeared on the Disney Channel show Cory in the House from 2007 to 2008. He appeared in the film Minutemen as Virgil Fox in 2008 and was on the third edition of the Disney Channel Games on the Green Team. Dolley has appeared as the prince in Imagination Movers as the prince. Jason appeared in the Disney film Hatching Pete as Pete Ivey in 2009. Dolley debuted in his second Disney Channel Original Series, Good Luck Charlie, as P.J. Duncan.

When asked about his role in the Disney Channel Original Series family sitcom, Good Luck Charlie replied, "I like the realness of it." I like the more authentic tone. I like the family sitcom. "Which also appealed to me," Disney said. "I was like, this is kind of cool," he said in a different interview. This is a little different. It has a full house kind of feel to it. It's very family-friendly. Families will laugh as a result of this. I think that's what's been cool about it from the start, and that it's also cool about it today."

The cast and crew appeared in a feature-length Christmas Disney Channel Original Movie titled Good Luck Charlie, It's Christmas!, which premiered on December 2, 2011. In addition to Brenda Song, Tiffany Thornton, and Zendaya, he also voiced Rumble in Disney Channel's animated film Pixie Hollow Games.
