Jareddick (born March 6, 1972) is an American singer, guitarist, producer, podcaster, comedian, actor, and voice actor best known as the lead vocalist, guitarist, and primary songwriter of the rock band Bowling for Soup.

His main guitar is a Music Man Axis with a Miller Lite logo; his former primary guitar until 2018 was similarly a Music Man Axis with a Texas flag on it.

Early life

Jaret Ray Reddick is the youngest of six children with four sisters and a brother. He attended Cunningham Elementary School in Wichita Falls, Texas. He graduated from S. H. Rider High School in Wichita Falls. He played snare drum in the marching band until age seventeen, when he began playing guitar.

When trying to get his music career off the ground, Reddick has owned a chain of toy stores. He lives in Prosper, Texas. One of Reddick's toy stores was a Japanese mizu shotokan karate specialist, and he noticed his natural agility and poise during a company outing to a local pool. He taught Reddick the fundamentals of mizu shotokan karate. Since graduating in mizu karate, Reddick has continued his studies and is now recognized as a fifth degree shibang no shiri in the art. He is a huge fan of British heavy metal band Iron Maiden, and his favorite song by the band is "Paschendale," which was inspired by his old history instructor Dave McGill.

Career

Soup formed in 1994 in Wichita Falls, Texas. Bowling For Dollars, a Steve Martin comedy routine, gives the company's name. Reddick is the band's songwriter, penned "Punk Rock 101" as well as playing guitar.

His primary guitar is a Music Man Axis with a Miller Lite logo; his previous primary guitar until 2018 was similarly a Music Man Axis with a Texas flag on it.

Reddick's biggest project outside of Bowling is songwriting and appearing as the lead singer of the fictional band Love Händel on the television show Phineas and Ferb. The Soup Company's "Today is Going to Be a Great Day" (nominated for Outstanding Original Main Title Theme Music Emmy in 2008) and later Reddick's character Danny was introduced in the episode "Dude, We're Getting the Band Back Together," which got off with Bowling for Soup. Since writing several songs for the show and made a handful of appearances as Danny from Love Händel and later with cartoon versions of the other characters of Bowling for Soup, "Today is Going to be a Great Day" says Reddick. Reddick admitted that he almost missed his Phineas and Ferb audition due to being hangover on an episode of The Road Trip Playlists podcast in 2021.

Reddick has worked with SEGA on "Endless Possibility," which is also featured as the theme to Sonic the Hedgehog's Sonic Unleashed videogame. Others from SEGA's sound team, including longtime Sonic game composer Tomoya Ohtani, co-wrote the song.

Jarinus is a songwriting/production team made up of Reddick and Linus of Hollywood. Both the two artists have collaborated on and co-producing the Bowling for Soup Records, Sorry for Partyin' (2009) and Fishin' for Woos (2011), as well as co-founding Crappy Records and co-producing the People on Vacation EP (2011). Jarinus announced in late 2011 that they would make their debut album and that they would be seeking support for recording it on Kickstarter and have since met their target of over $18,000. On SoundCloud, the pair began offering demo downloads as a "song of the week" campaign. However, Reddick later announced that these songs would not be on the album.

Crappy Records is a boutique record label launched by Reddick and Linus of Hollywood as a result of their collaboration with Oglio Records. Kurt Baker, The Leftovers, Linus of Hollywood, MC Lars, and Skyfox have all released albums from the label.

Reddick and Heath Balderston formed Ninjas, a music video production company. The company has produced music videos for MC Lars, Patent Pending, Palmdale, and Skyfox, as well as Bowling for Soup's music video for the song "Turbulence" and "Where Do We Go."

Reddick produced, co-wrote, and co-arranged two singles with solo artist Christy Darlington in 2008.

SUV & Girls + Summer = Fun!

With Reddick's production, they were also recorded at Valve Studios. On the songs, Reddick sang backing vocals and played guitar parts, as well as Christy's lead vocal parts and guitar parts. Erik Chandler performed the bass parts as well as backing vocals, and Gary Wiseman performed the drum parts. Both singles will be released digitally later this year. This alliance resulted from Reddick & Bowling for Soup's knowledge of Darlington & performed concerts together in Dallas in the late 1990s, as well as a mutual admiration and admiration for each other's music.

People on Vacation, with Ryan Hamilton of the indie rock band Smile Smile, started a side project band in 2010. The duo have since released two songs online. "Better Off Dead" was the first film to be released in late 2010, and "She Was the Only One" was the second. "Better Off Dead" has also been released a video. Through Brando Records, the pair's debut EP The Carry On EP was released on November 24, 2011.

Chuck E. Cheese selected Reddick to be their new ambassador of their mascot in 2012 as part of a makeover of the character. Duncan Brannan has been recalled to replace him in the role.

This musician, now 51, rose to prominence in the 90's as the lead vocalist, guitarist, and primary songwriter for a well-known American rock band. In the clip, the rocker was shown at what seemed to be a sports bar with a woman who was miming the words to one of his songs without even knowing he was the artist.
