Career
In 2010, Nichols moved to Los Angeles. He received the Gibson Les Paul Tribute Contest as well as the Musicians Institute Most Outstanding Player Award. He formed his own band shortly after and unveiled a three-song EP Live at the Viper Room.
Nichols toured America and appeared at various clubs/festivals, including Sturgis Buffalo Chip, SXSW, Summerfest, and others, after this publication. It was during this period that Kid Rock, Lynyrd Skynyrd, and ZZ Top opened. He embarked on a two-month European Tour, which culminated in the release of Old Glory & The Wild Revival with producers Warren Huart and the legendary Eddie Kramer in 2015.

Nichols was featured in a "mini-doc" series UNCHARTED by Honda and UPROXX about his guitar playing and his determination to push himself into the music business at the same time.
