Janet Jones Life

Janet Marie Gretzky (née Jones; born January 10, 1961) is an American actress.

Wayne Gretzky, a retired ice hockey Hall of Famer, is married to her.

Early life and education

Janet Marie Jones, the daughter of a business executive, was born in Bridgeton, Missouri. She attended Pattonville High School in Maryland Heights, Missouri.

Personal life

Jones, who was affiliated with Vitas Gerulaitis from 1985 to 1987, first met Gretzky while he was a judge on Dance Fever in 1984. They met again at a Los Angeles Lakers game in 1987, and on July 16, 1988, they married in a lavish ceremony at St. Joseph's Basilica that was broadcast live across Canada. Gretzky was traded to the Los Angeles Kings on August 9, the eighth edition of the Los Angeles Kings. Jones' career was supposed to be one of the motivations behind the contract, according to one of the parties. Jones denied this in "Kings Ransom," saying she would not have allowed herself to be "barefoot and pregnant for the next eight years" if she wanted to pursue her career. Paulina, Ty Robert, Trevor Douglas, Tristan Wayne, and Emma Marie are among her five children. Paulina was on the Canadian front page of the Flare (magazine) in August 2005, seventeen years after Janet appeared on the front page, making them the first mother-daughter to appear on Flare Magazine's front page.

On August 18, 2013, Paulina and Dustin Johnson announced their engagement. Ty played hockey at Shattuck-Saint Mary's. In the 2011 MLB draft, Trevor was drafted by the Chicago Cubs. Matt Scioscia, the son of Angels' manager Mike Scioscia, was traded to the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim on March 20, 2014. He was activated to the Orem Owls' roster in June 2014.

When appearing on Dance Fever, Vanna White introduced Merv Griffin, leading White to her long-term participation as a host on Wheel of Fortune.

Britain's oldest donkey ride firm hits back at petition to ban them from a seaside resort - insisting the animals are happy and well cared for

www.dailymail.co.uk, August 15, 2024
Britain's oldest donkey ride firm has hit back at a petition to ban them from a seaside resort and insisted the animals are happy and well cared for. Campaigners are trying to ban the 'outdated and cruel' rides and wants it to end at Weston-super-Mare after 138 years. A petition launched on change.org on August 1 had branded the seaside tradition 'distressing'. It argues the donkeys are 'often subjected to long hours of work in high temperatures with limited access to water and shade' and that 'carrying weight on their backs regularly leads to debilitating health conditions'. But the company in the Somerset resort has urged protesters to 'come down and talk to us if you've got concerns' - and the animals are well cared for.

Wayne Gretzky with wife Janet Jones and daughter Paulina

While out to dinner in West Hollywood on Wednesday, Wayne Gretzky, the ice hockey legend, graciously signed autographs for fans. As he headed to the celebrity hot spot Craig's, the 62-year-old retired star was joined by his family, including his wife of nearly 35 years Janet Jones. Paulina, Wayne's socialite daughter, arrived with her golfer husband Dustin Johnson and at least one of their sons, who was also a participant in the shooting. Paulina, 34, produced a generous portion of cleavage on a slinky black tube top that also allowed her to display her chiseled midriff. She pounded the pavement in a high-waisted skirt with two tantalizingly high thigh-slits that displayed her vertiginous legs.

Labour can't be trusted to run the NHS, according to the study

If you're one of the 700,000 residents of North Wales, then your wellbeing and happiness are in the custody of the Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board. Its name comes from Florence Nightingale's hometown, and it manages the operations of 96 GP surgeries and 147 pharmacies across six counties, worth £1.2 billion per year. This massive sum - the equivalent of £400 for every man, woman, or child in Wales - makes it the country's biggest single public-sector company. Sadly, it can almost certainly be characterized as the most incompetent in the face of a fierce resistance.
