Jeannette Dubois (born August 5, 1938 or 1945) (sources differ) is an American actor, singer-songwriter, and dancer.

On the television show Good Times, DuBois is best known for her portrayal of Willona Woods, the neighborhood gossip maven and Evans' family friend.

DuBois co-wrote and performed the Jeffersons' theme song "Movin' on Up," which appeared from 1975 to 1985.

Personal life

In 1950, DuBois married Sajit Gupta. DuBois was divorced from Gupta by April 1959, according to her Brazilian consular statement, but another source says she was still married in 1964. Four children were born in DuBois and Gupta: Provat Gupta, Rani Gupta, Kesha Gupta, Kesha Gupta, and Raj Kristo Gupta, who died of cancer at the age of 36. Provat, a basketball coach, is based in California. DuBois was romantically involved with actor Brock Peters in 1959.
