Vinette Robinson and one of a classic 90s sitcom are leading a thrilling new crime drama

www.dailymail.co.uk, October 22, 2023
On ITV1, a dramatic new crime series will be available accompanied by a star-studded cast of familiar faces. Six Four first premiered on ITVX in March, but the mind-bending film will make its debut on the small screen at 9 p.m. tonight, just in time for some exciting viewing as the chilly nights draw in. Six Four is based on Hideo Yokoyama's best-selling titular book, with the main action set in Glasgow. The story of kidnap, treason, betrayal, and an unwavering search for the truth begins when DC Chris O'Neill, whose daughter is missing, is contacted by a journalist about a cold case involving another missing child. The four-part series, which will be available to watch every Sunday over the next few weeks, is host to an all-star cast of renowned actors and actresses - but who are they and who do they play in the drama?

'There's been a murrrder! 'A new hunt has been launched to locate every Taggart extra who appeared in the famous Scottish TV crime film 'corpse.'

Researchers want to get 'witness statements' from anyone interested in the show's 28-year run, whether they were extras, consultants, or dead bodies, as they begin to build an archive of the iconic program's influence on crime fiction. Detectives are hoping that witnesses will bring "corroborating evidence" - mementoes from their time on the show - or even memorabilia - to donate to a vast repository of the event's history. Glasgow Caledonian University (GCU) has collaborated with Taggart actor and honorary graduate Dr Blythe Duff (main picture, far right) to provide the warrant for the show's unsung heroes ahead of three days of drop-in sessions next month.

Since the 1960s, actor James Cosmo, 75, has delighted audiences, from a British field marshal to a Highland warrior. However, his military links in Hollywood don't stop there, as he's also an honorary colonel in the 7th Scots regiment. His contributions to Scotland, its history, and culture aren't restricted to screen-stealing in the likes of Highlander, Game Of Thrones, and his Dark Materials.
