Jacquees Career

Career

Corey Battle, the Jacquees' first boss, met him in 2007. Before he met and transferred leadership to Russell "Block" Spencer, founder and director of Block Entertainment, he appeared in a variety of talent shows. As part of a production team, Jacquees spent time in various recording studios. Block's primary interest was rap music, not R&B. Jacquees began working closely at Block's recording studio, quickly gaining fame for the album "Krazy," which features Atlanta rapper T.I.

Jacquees uninhibitedly released his second EP, 192, which debuted at number 15 on the US Billboard Top R&B Albums, on March 25, 2014. Chris Brown, Rich Homie Quan, Lloyd, and Trinidad James appear on the 11-track EP. Jacquees announced on October 1, 2014 that he had signed a recording contract with Cash Money Records. He collaborated with label-mate Birdman on an EP titled Lost at Sea in May 2016. He achieved mainstream success with his single "B.E.D." "Charting at number 69 on the Billboard Hot 100, and he's at number 69."

He released his second studio album King of R&B in November 2019. The album debuted at number 20 on the Billboard 200. Jacquees appeared on the album, according to Pitchfork, and his vocals matched well with his collaborators. In early 2020, Jacquees embarked on the King of R&B Tour to promote the album.
