Kyle Rittenhouse, who was cleared of murder for shooting two people at a BLM rally in 2020, was lecturing students at the University of Memphis. After being taken the stage on Wednesday by demonstrators, Rittenhouse was barely able to get a word out. The address was the second stop on his tour with conservative group Turning Point USA, focusing on the Second Amendment and 'Black Lives Matter.'

The NFL announced that Every Voice and Sing, also known as the Black national anthem, would be sung at Super Bowl LVIII next month. Andra Day, a Grammy Award-winning R&B musician, will appear on Andra Day (left) and will appear alongside the Star-Bangled Banner, which will be performed by Reba McEntire. Following widespread protests over police brutality, such as the deaths of George Floyd, Jacob Blake, and Breonna Taylor at the hands of police officers, the NFL began to play the song as a way to raise concerns regarding social justice issues and how some communities are disproportionally affected. It will be the fourth year in a row for the ensemble, but it has caused a lot of outrage on social media. Rittenhouse, 20, was a teen when he shot and killed Anthony Huber and Joseph Rosenbaum in Kenosha, Wisconsin, during Black Lives Matter protests. He's now published a new book to explain his behavior. During the civil unrest in August 2020, Rosenbaum, a 36-year-old man grappling with mental illness, confronted Rittenhouse, just two days after police shot Black man Jacob Blake in the back as he attempted to get into a car with his children. Rittenhouse became a poster boy for Second Amendment rights campaigners and right-wing political commentators after being cleared of all charges.
