Early career

Aina joined the United States Army Reserve after two years of college. Aina's YouTube channel was established a year after joining the military. Her YouTube videos were a way of expressing herself and dealing with her unsatisfied marriage at the time. She was then divorced from her husband. She discovered that she had a natural knack as a makeup artist while stationed in Hawaii and was recruited by MAC Cosmetics. Aina "kept being told at makeup counters that the trends she wanted to try wouldn't suit her complexion," she began filming "about the products and looks she loved that could work for everybody," Entrepreneur Aina said.

With day six being the silver lid from the previous window, the advent calendar itself costs an eerily $3500 USD/ $5200 AUD and has so far included soap bars, fragrances, and a candle.
