Jacksepticeye Life

Seán William McLoughlin (born 7 February 1990), better known as Jacksepticeye, is an Irish YouTuber and comedian best known for his vlogs and Comedian Let's Play film.

His channel has over 11 billion views and over 23 million viewers as of December 2019, and it is Ireland's most popular channel.

McLoughlin has participated in charity fundraisers that have raised millions of dollars for charity.

Early life and education

Seán William McLoughlin was born in Cloghan, County Offaly, Ireland, on February 7, 1990, and the youngest of five children to John (c. 1936 – January 2021) and Florrie McLoughlin. He was born in Cloghan and spent a time in Banagher. His father served with the ESB and his mother worked in various capacities before becoming a caregiver for his grandmother. McLoughlin began playing video games at the age of seven, and as an adult, he spent time on the Nintendo Game Boy in a neighborhood treehouse, later describing how he felt he felt connected to the games. After a childhood injury during a football match in which he fractured his eye, he was given his nickname "Jack Septic Eye."

McLoughlin and his family migrated to a cabin in Ballycumber when he was 18 years old. At the Limerick Institute of Technology, McLoughlin studied music technology and production. McLoughlin decided to drop out and return home to Ballycumber in the third year of the degree. In 2014, he moved to a bedroom in Athlone, County Westmeath, where he studied hotel administration at Athlone Institute of Technology, receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree. He lived in Athlone until 2017, when he moved to Brighton, England. Following fans' discovery of his home in Athlone, one of the reasons for the move was the city's strong LGBTQ and vegan cultures, as well as questions regarding personal safety.

Personal life

Between 2015 and 2018, McLoughlin dated Danish social media influencer Signe "Wiishu" Hansen. He is currently in a friendship with Dutch YouTuber Evelien "Gab" Smolders. McLoughlin has been playing the drums since he was a child and was previously in a melodic death metalcore band called Raised to the Ground.
