Personal life
Ruby Tyler Tyler, Parow's daughter, was born in 2012. Ruby was the inspiration for Parow's 2014 song Dis Befok, and her 2016 remix of the song was shot by her using a chest-mounted camera.
Career
Since being in primary school, Parow wanted to be a rapper. Keagan Cloete, a cloete, was used to rap, quoting Snoop Dogg's Doggystyle as the first inspiration as well as the likes of T-Pain. Although he began rapping in English, he soon decided that he preferred Afrikaans.
He first performed on Cooler, the single that had been promoted by friends in Die Heuwels Fantasties, and he collaborated with them on their song Die Vraagstuk. He has since released four studio albums and toured around the world.
Parow's Die Ou Met Die Snor, a local artist's book, was released in 2015.
Parow and his friend Hardus van Deventer produced Dis Hoe Ons Rol, a nine episode television series that aired from July to August 2016 on the Kyknet premium TV channel. Two legs of filming lasted for more than 30 days, during which Parow appeared in each of South Africa's nine provinces at least once.
