Ivan Gough Life

Ivan Gough, a multi-platinum-selling Australian house music producer and DJ, is the subject of a multi-platinum award-winning ARIA category. Ivan grew up in Wonga Park, a Melbourne suburb on the edge of the Yarra Valley.

He attended Yarra Valley Grammar School, where he discovered an interest in music production after listening to a school mates cassette tape edits.

After visiting a studio in 1989, he became interested in manufacturing and began collecting synthesizers and drum machines.

After a chance meeting with an old school buddy, he began to DJ in and around Melbourne's club scene, although not producing songs during the day.

"I Need You," Pendulums' remix, became a defining club anthem in the United Kingdom, starring Paul Oakenfold and Pete Tong. He released many albums in the late 90's and was a prominent Melbourne underground musician who performed with "Zero Tolerance" recordings running their CBD studio.

He and fellow Melbourne DJ Grant Smillie formed TV Rock, a production company, and in 2010, he and his companion, DJ Pete Davis, first appeared on TV Rock and performed with the Future Music Festival.

Early in 2013, Gough left TV Rock to pursue solo projects.

Ivan Gough Career

Musical career

On the edge of the Yarra Valley, Gough was raised in the Melbourne suburb of Wonga Park. He enrolled in Yarra Valley Grammar, where he discovered an interest in music production after listening to a school friend's cassette tape edits. After visiting a studio in 1989, he became interested in manufacturing and began collecting synthesizers and drum machines. After a chance meeting with an old school buddy, he began to DJ in and around Melbourne's club scene, but not at all. Gough's albums have made it into the playlists of the best DJs in the country, including old school heroes Sasha and Paul Oakenfold, as well as the more recent class of top DJs such as The Swedish House Mafia and Tiesto, over the years. Gough's music has also been getting regular performances on Pete Tong's 'the essential new tune,' with one of his TV Rock remixes (with Smillie) earning the coveted 'essential new tune'. He has more adds (and remixes) to his name than any other Australian, as well as hundreds of albums and cds that bear his name. Gough has produced Progressive house, deep house, trance, electro, and breaks, establishing perhaps the first nu school breaks record in Australia with Phil K and Andy Page in 1997. He also worked in the studio and produced for the respected Australian Deep House label Zero Tolerance from 1999 to 2004. He has turned to writing and building a Big room house more recently. Not only is he known for his ingenuity, creativity, and technological prowess in the studio, but his legendary track pick and brand of main room tunes (often his own) has seen him tour nationally and internationally on a regular basis.

The song "Someday" was co-written by Gough with Slinkee Minx and performed by Slinkee Minx in 2005 and debuted by Slinkee Minx in 2005. The Aria Charts and No. 55 shows 55 people and No. On the Aria Dance Charts, there are 9 positions.

Gough has 11 No.1 dance tracks on the ARIA chart, more than any other, and their smash hit "Flaunt It" in 2006 discorded all records. The No. 1 was "Flaunt It." In 2006, there was one of the top-selling dance single by any Australian artist, and the No. In 2006, Australia's best-selling track was number two.

The pair rewarded 2 ARIA's for the effort, releasing more than 175,000 copies and going double platinum, as well as tying for the longest running Australian track in the ARIA top ten ever. With their singles "In The Air" and "Diamonds in the Sky," Gough and Smillie maintained their lead in charts around the country and the world. Rudy on vocals, and both appeared on No. 1 and no. The Australian club chart was number one on the top DJs in the world, and all the best DJs in the world were featured.

Gough's new record with Feenixpawl "In My Mind" is expected to do well overseas in 2012 and beyond. People are already saying it will be one of the top albums of 2012. In fact, Axwell loved it so much that he performed the album and even did a remix of it.

Andy James (Sgt Slick) and Gough and Andy James (Sgt Slick) have joined forces to produce L'Tric's latest powerhouse team, and they've debuted their first single, "This Feeling." He has also co-produced and mixed many songs for other artists, including Timmy Trumpet's hit "Freaks," tracks for Nervo, and a number of others.
