Howard Lindsay Goodall (born 26 May 1958) is an English composer of musicals, choral music, and television music.
He has also produced music-based television and radio shows, for which he has received numerous awards.
With the UK radio channel Classic FM, he was appointed as a host and Composer-in-Residence in May 2008. He was named "Composer of the Year" at the Classic BRIT Awards in May 2009.
Personal life
Goodall, a boy from Bromley, Kent, was educated at New College School, where he served as a chorister in the Choir of New College, Oxford. He then went on to Stowe School and Lord Williams' School. He read music at Christ Church, Oxford, where he received a first-class degree.
