Early life
Brisley was born in Adelaide, South Australia, Australia. Holly excelled at speech and drama as a child and attended the Paradise Performer's Dance Academy, where she competed in numerous classes, including jazz, ballet, and tap dancing, as well as receiving numerous accolades.

Brisley's family went from Adelaide to the Gold Coast when she was still young.
In Venice, Holly married marketing executive Paul Ford in 2006 and married in Manly, Sydney, on February 11th. In the grounds of St Patrick's Seminary overlooking the ocean, they exchanged vows in the Cardinal Cerretti Memorial Chapel.

Career
By the age of 13, she was on the books of the Studio Search Agency on the Gold Coast, with her first appearances being the Australian telemovies. Who Will Save Our Children? Official Denial in 1993 and 1994.
Holly didn't begin to receive praise until she began her regular television appearance on the Logie Award-winning children's program Agro's Cartoon Connection in 1994. She will host The Looney Tunes Show in a more mature style later this year, as well as World's Craziest Videos and various Foxtel programs. Holly was ranked 5th (2000) and 29th (2001) in FHM's 100 Sexiest Women.
Brisley continued her acting career throughout this period, with some of her most notable appearances being in Garage Days, The Crop, and Dynasty: The Making of a Guilty Pleasure.
Holly was involved in various guest appearances and hosting gigs in 2005, and then moved to the role of town vixen Amanda Vale on soap opera Home and Away, where she remained for two years. Holly returned to Home and Away in February 2008, repeating her role in July 2009 and ending in mid-August 2009. Holly has said she would love to return to Home and Away.
Holly has worked (at one stage or another) for most broadcasters, including Channel 10, and Foxtel, over the years, but she has mostly worked for Channel 7 and 9.
