Hemky Madera (born January 26, 1977) is a Dominican-American actor.
He started his acting career in Grandes Series Dominicanas, in which he appeared in En La Olla and Trio en Alta Mar, both directed by Dominican filmmaker/producer Alfonso Rodrez.
In Spider-Man: Homecoming, he appeared as Mr. Delmar.
Life and career
Madera was born in Queens, but Luis and Gisela Madera followed. He was born prematurely when his mother returned to visit relatives in New York, and his family moved him back to Santiago, Dominican Republic. He started training full-time after college and migrated to New York City, where he appeared in Asalto en la Lincoln's production with Gabriel Macht and then to the Dominican Republic, where he starred in Asalto en la Lincoln and Los Electrolocos, in which he took the lead.
Since returning to the United States, he appeared in Dreaming of Julia (2005) with Andy Garca, Dustin Hoffman, and Bill Murray, as well as acting in Rango (2011) with Johnny Depp as one of many others.
On stage, he appeared in Pantallas at Santo Domingo's Great National Theater for the first time. He has appeared in Inverse Theater's production of Icarus and Aria, as well as other stage productions in the United States, i.e. Life is a Dream, The Mistress of the Inn, Chronicles of a Death Foretold, Bloodshed Revival, Burning the Bridges, and Belisa's Capriciousness are all true.
He has appeared on television shows as "Legite, Brother & Sisters, My Name Is Earl, and The Good Guys, as well as 17 episodes of Weeds as Mexican drug cartel criminal Ignacio, his best-known part. On the IFC TV series Brockmire, he also plays a regular baseball player.
