Personal life
McComb was born in Lakewood Township and raised in Barnegat Township, New Jersey, and died in Ocean County. Jennifer Lynn McComb, her elder sister, is also an actor.
McComb married actor James William Van Der Beek on July 5, 2003. They separated in April 2009, and Van Der Beek filed for divorce on November 20, 2009. The divorce was finalized on March 31, 2010 and enforceable on June 3, 2010.
Career
In a commercial for Publisher's Clearing House, McComb began acting at the age of two. In 1989, she appeared in Francis Ford Coppola's segment "Life Without Zo" of the anthology film New York Stories. She appeared on the 1990 television show The Outsiders, a Scout. The show only lasted for one season. When she first appeared in Generation X in 1996, she became the first actress to portray Jubilee on film. McComb appeared in the television series Profiler as Frances Malone in 1997. Maggie's role in the cast of Party of Five continued next year.
