Heather Angel Life

Heather Grace Angel (1909 – 13 December 1986) was a British actress.

Early life

Angel was born in Headington, Oxford, England, on February 9, 1909. She was the granddaughter of Mary Letitia Stock and Andrea Angel, an Oxford University chemistry lecturer and first a don at Brasenose College and then at Christ Church. They were married in 1904 and, shortly after the wedding, they migrated to Banbury Road. Andrea Angel's maternal grandfather was an Italian immigrant, and he was named after his uncle Andrea Rabagliati.

The family is shown as living at 17 Banbury Road, Oxford, Oxford, with three servants, according to the 1911 UK Census. She was the younger of two sisters.

Andrea Angel was killed in the Silvertown fire in January 1917 and was honoured with the Edward Medal (First Class). He left his wife £374 in his will, and his wife followed him to London with the two children. Heather was already 19 years old when she was 19 years old and performing with a British touring theatre company operated by Charles Bradbury-Ingles. The same document shows that she was living in 20 Queen Anne's Grove, London W4, when she left.

Personal life

In 1934, Angel married actor Ralph Forbes in Arizona, a relationship that lasted less than ten years. When they were both in Britain, Angel appeared in Self Made Lady (1932). She called Wilcoxon after she learned he was also in Hollywood. She invited him to polo matches at Will Rogers' house and later taught him horseback riding. They appeared together in two other films: The Last of the Mohicans (1936) and Lady Hamilton (1941). Despite being lifelong friends, they never married. Heather and her husband were both present at Wilcoxon's wedding to his first wife. They had intended to hold the wedding at their house in Coldwater Canyon.

In 1944, Robert B. Sinclair, a film and television director, was married to Angel. Billy McCoy Hunter, an explorer, broke into their house on January 4th, 1970. Hunter murdered Angel in her presence when Sinclair attempted to shield him, then fled. When detained, he was said to be wielding a knife and a pistol. The incident is thought to have resulted in a failed break in. In 1947, Angel had one son with Sinclair.
