Career
In Pro Prosheus Bound at the Sound Theatre in London, Atwell made her professional debut in 2005 portraying Io, a maiden exiled by Zeus. Atwell "makes us react to the anguish without having a chuckle at her bandaged hands," the British Theatre Guide praised, writing that she had praised her performance. Bianca, the protagonist's wife, appeared in Women Beware Women at the Royal Shakespeare Company for the following year. Atwell was lauded by the Guardian for displaying "the right seductive beauty" in the book. Atwell appeared in two productions at the Royal National Theatre, both directed by Nicholas Hytner.
