Personal life
Yeoh has four siblings. She is both a licensed lawyer and event manager. She is married to Ramanchandran Muniandy, where she has two children, Shay Adora Ram and Kayleigh Imani Ram.
Political career
Both Yeoh and Ling joined the Damansara Democratic Action Party (DAP) Branch in late 2006. Edward Ling, her schoolmate, joined the Damansara Democratic Action Party (DAP) Branch in 2006. Yeoh joined the DAP even though the party's position was skepticism, though opposition leaders were often threatened by the Internal Security Act, which allows for arrest without any trial.
Yeoh followed Pua's example and resigned shortly before the March 2008 general election to work full-time as a politician, inspired by Tony Pua, Damansara Branch Chairman who resigned to join DAP full time.
In the 2008 general election, Yeoh was elected as the Selangor state assembly representative for Subang Jaya's seat. Yeoh was re-elected for the second term in the 2013 general election as the Subang Jaya state assembly representative. On June 21, 2013, she was sworn in as Malaysia's first female speaker for the Selangor State Assembly following her re-election. She is also the youngest speaker of any legislative Assembly in Malaysia at the age of 34.
Yeoh was chosen by the DAP to run for the Segambut parliamentary seat in the 2018 general election, and she did very well. When Pakatan Harapan took over the government, she was named as the Deputy Minister of Women, Family, and Community Development in the new Malaysian cabinet's Deputy Prime Minister.
