Career

Spearritt performed Annie in the Lowestoft Players amateur dramatics society when she was 12 years old. She auditioned for the National Youth Music Theatre and became a member of the company afterward. Pendragon (1994–1995), Tin Pan Ali (1996), and the West End musical Bugsy Malone (1997) appeared in the NYMT's productions Pendragon (1994–1995), Pendragon (1994–1995), and Pendragon (1997). She appeared in the television film The Cater Street Hangman in 1998, playing the part of a maid who is murdered. Spearritt has also appeared on the National Lottery and Blue Peter.

Spearritt auditioned for and became a member of S Club 7. The group had four UK number one singles and a UK number one album in the five years they were together. They released eleven singles, and went on to sell more than 12 million albums around the world. S Club, their first album, had a strong 1990s pop sound, similar to many artists of their time. However, their musical approach evolved to a more dance and R&B sound, which is evidently in their final album, Seeing Double. S Club 7 received two BRIT Awards, one in 2000 for a British debutant and the other in 2002 for Best British Single. The company received the Record of the Year award in 2001. S Club announced that they were to disband on April 21, 2003, during a live onstage show.

She was in Los Angeles in 2003 to audition for a role in Agent Cody Banks 2: Destination London, a feature that she attended at the UK premiere of the film on March 24th, 2004 in London. Spearritt appeared in the horror film Seed of Chucky in 2004. In 2005, she appeared in the BBC series Blessed as Sarah. Spearritt appeared in the West End musical Snow in December 2005! At London's Sound Theatre, the Musical is on display.

Spearritt had landed a leading role in the ITV series Primeval in 2006. After discovering a species of reptile she had never seen before, she portrayed Abby Maitland, a reptile enthusiast who is mixed up with time traveling Professor Nick Cutter (Douglas Henshall). She appeared in Agatha Christie's Marple later this year. Spearritt assumed Pauline's role in One Man, Two Guvnors at the Theatre Royal Haymarket in March 2012. She appeared on S Club 7's reunion tour, titled Bring It Back 2015, which toured the United Kingdom in May 2015. Spearritt would appear as Mercedes Christie in the BBC medical drama Casualty in December 2015. Spearritt made her debut on January 23, 2016. Spearritt appeared on EastEnders in 2017 as Kandice Taylor, Karen Taylor's sister (Lorraine Stanley), but she left the program when she became pregnant.
