Life and career

Alligood was born in Birmingham, Alabama. Alligood was nominated for a Young Artist award in the Supporting Actress category in 2015 for her role as Young Margo in the film Paper Towns. She appeared in two films, Allegiant and Miracles from Heaven, over the next year. She auditioned for and secured the role of Frankie on Better Things in 2016.

Alligood's "Scout," a Apple advertisement for a November 2017 iPad Pro, featured Alligood as Brooklynite "Scout," utilizing the product in a variety of ways not seen with a personal computer, resulting in a final where a neighbor asks Scout what she is doing with her computer, but she responds, not knowing what a computer is.
