William Henry "Hank" Green II (born May 5, 1980) is an American video blogger, internet producer, guitarist, entrepreneur, and CEO.
He is best known for his YouTube channel Vlogbrothers, where he and his older brother, John Green, post regular videos, as well as the creation and hosting of the educational YouTube channels Crash Course and SciShow. Green co-created VidCon, the world's biggest online video conference, with his brother John, and created NerdCon: Stories, a conference focused on storytelling.
He is co-creator of The Lizzie Bennet Diaries (2012–2013), a web series adaptation of Pride and Prejudice that is based on video blogs.
He is also the creator of the EcoGeek and the Internet Creators Guild, as well as co-founder of merchandise firm DFTBA Games, crowdfunding site Pemberley Digital, and online video production firm Pemberley Digital, which makes video blog versions of classic novels in the public domain, as well as web-based video production company EcoGeek and the Internet Creators Guild.

Personal life
Hank Green and his partner, Katherine Green, live in Missoula, Montana, and they have two children. In 2016, they had their first child, a boy named Orin.
In 2006, Green was diagnosed with ulcerative colitis. As an infant, he was also diagnosed with a learning disorder and predicts it would be ADHD. Green has stated that he is an atheist.
Early life and career
Green was born in Birmingham, Alabama, but his family later moved to Orlando, Florida, where he was raised. He graduated from Winter Park High School in 1998 and earned a B.S. degree afterward. Eckerd College and a M.S. Biochemistry degree, as well as a M.A. The University of Montana's Environmental Studies Department has a special interest in environmental studies. "How the Personal Computer and the Environment Change Everything" was his master's thesis.
Green built and designed websites for himself and local customers throughout high school and college. On the heels of the Mars Pathfinder Mission, his first venture, the "Mars Exploration Page," was a minor success. Local news channels and the Orlando Sentinel announced a later website, IHateI4.com, which was about Green's dislike for Interstate 4, a widely disliked highway among Floridians. After moving to Montana for graduate school, Green focused on creating web pages for educational institutions (including the University of Montana) and non-profit organizations.
Green wrote "EcoGeek," a blog that would highlight technological advancements that would benefit the planet. EcoGeek started out as a class project and has since developed to become a major environmental journal. EcoGeek was spotted by Time magazine, where it was described as "porn for hardcore science, technology, and enviro freaks."
