Grace Coddington Career

Career

Someone submitted her photographs in 1959 at the age of 18, and a Vogue model contest was held in 1959. She went on to win the Young Model section and was included in the October issue in a Norman Parkinson photograph. She began her modelling career for Vogue.

She was in a car crash that left her with head injury and a missing eyelid, which was later restored by plastic surgery.

Beatrix Miller, Britain Vogue's Editor, was interviewed two years after the shooting and was hired as a Junior Editor. After nineteen years as Photo Editor with British Vogue, she moved to New York to work for Calvin Klein. She joined Anna Wintour at American Vogue, where she served as the magazine's creative director in July 1988.

As of January 2016, Coddington said she'd be leaving Vogue's role as creative director to focus on other projects. Coddington would be working with Tiffany & Co. on May 9, 2016.

Grace Coddington's new campaign for Tiffany & Co. A/W 16, which also stars Elle Fanning, will take place later this year. There were few product shots and traditional models in the campaign. Tiffany opted to feature celebrities and close up photos of the jewelry styled on the body rather than Coddington's direction.

Coddington also collaborated with Louis Vuitton on a capsule collection in 2018, with many designs featuring her cats included.

Celebrity cameos. Backstage boozing. Fights over the front row… LYNNE FRANKS on how she started London Fashion Week in a tent 40 years ago

www.dailymail.co.uk, February 15, 2024
Months of planning had resulted in this moment. Months of cajoling designers, models, resp., and style watchers, have all lent their help - and money - to a hitherto unintentional venture: a show that exhibits the best of British fashion under one roof. Or, rather, one square of canvas. I felt a surge of pride and pure excitement as I watched the last touches being applied to the huge tent that would host the first ever London Fashion Week. I knew some of these people had been skeptical, but as I stood at the back of this amazing new space, I hoped that this would be the start of something amazing.

Pamela Anderson shines as the Pandora lab-created diamond's next ambassador... after her comeback with her tell-all book Love, Pamela, she makes her comeback

www.dailymail.co.uk, August 31, 2023
Pamela Anderson has landed a high-profile modeling job. The former Baywatch actress is now a new ambassador for Danish jewelry company Pandora. On Thursday morning, Anderson modeling Pandora's fall designs were revealed for the first time. The blonde bombshell, who made a comeback this year with her tell-all book Love, Pamela, was one of the campaign for lab-created diamond jewelry, alongside Vogue editor Grace Coddington and model Precious Lee, among others. Anderson said she is delighted to be wearing lab developed diamonds. 'I feel good about wearing it.' It's actually the most innovative, kind of glamorous move,' she said of the brand's use of recycled gold. And she said in the ad that wearing diamonds was just 'fun'.
