Prosecutors said she joined the defendant in August last year, but lawyers learned they would often argue and he would retaliate over her noise. Lewis, who testified at her appeal, expressed concern for her life during a'struggle' with the knife, and said he attempted to murder her. However, the jury accepted her argument that she was only protecting herself when she started the deadly stabbing in April after nearly nine hours of deliberations. Jamie Richards, the victim's son, read a tearful victim impact statement out today, which said it brought back terrible memories of what he saw as a youth.

A yoga instructor has been found guilty of murdering her lodger who she wanted to dismiss and is facing life in jail after a jury denied her argument that she did not act in self defense. Dawn Lewis (left) was found guilty of stabbing Glenn Richards (left) to death at her house. Mr Richards, according to the trial, he transferred to Glastonbury after being released from jail for murdering his ex wife in 2011. Prosecutors said she and the defendant arrived in August last year, but lawyers learned they would often argue and he'd be concerned about her noise. Lewis, who testified during her appeal, expressed concern about her death during a'fight' with the knife, and claimed he had attempted to murder her. However, the jury found her not to blame herself for the deadly stabbing in April after almost nine hours of deliberations. The guilty verdict was a majority one with 11-1 finding her guilty. Dawn Lewis, 53, knifed former cop Glenn Richards, 61, to death at her Glastonbury home in April. She told Bristol Crown Court that he had 'lunged' at her before she stabbed him. After being released from jail in 2011 and moving in with Lewis in August 2021, Mr Richards had moved to Glastonbury, Somerset. In 2002, the former Metropolitan Police sergeant confessed to murdering Karen Richards, his estranged wife.
