Alba Giselle Blondet Gomez (born January 9, 1964) is a Puerto Rican actress and television host.

"Fundación Arte por La Paz" was also founded by the artist.

Early biography

Giselle Blondet was born in 1964 to Victor Manuel Blondet and Alba Gomez in New York, New York, but she was raised and educated in Puerto Rico.

Andrea was born in 1982 and married her first husband, jeweler Luis Iglesias, with whom she had a daughter. In 1984, the couple divorced two years later.

Luis Abbey married again in 1986, this time to actor Luis Abdo. That marriage was not long, and they divorced shortly after. Blondet spent the remainder of the late 1980s as an actor in numerous television shows, soap operas, and mini-series, as well as in some theater performances.

Blondet's iconic television commercial in Puerto Rico for the feminine hygiene brand Always was a hit television commercial in the early 1990s.

She married Harold Trucco, an Argentine manufacturer, for the third time in 1989. Gabriella and Harold Emmanuel were both born with a daughter and a son. In 1997, the partnership was plagued by difficulties and ended. Until 1998, Rafael José, Fernando Arau, Ana Maria Canseco, and Neida Sandoval all began working in Univision as co-host for 'Despierta América!' Since divorcing Trucco, she has been single and says she would like to dedicate her free time to her children.

Later career

Blondet's autobiography Con los Pies en la Tierra debuted in 2004. Following her return from Despierta América to host a new television show about true-life tragedies, called Historias Para Contar, a series of small special episodes emerged. Feliz Navidad, a Spanish-language Christmas film starring José Feliciano and Ral De Molina, debuted in 2006. Blondet's film was supposed to be released later this year, but it was changed to DVD. In 2007, she was invited to host Nuestra Belleza Latina, Univision's national reality show. The show includes hints of American Idol, America's Next Top Model, and Miss Universe, as well as American Idol, which was an early hit.

She appeared in an episode of Mujeres Asesinas as Luz Maria in 2010, after 14 years away from acting, alongside Cynthia Klitbo in the episode "Luz, Arrolladora."

She was one of a group of celebrities on a red carpet for the 'Heart Truth Red Dress Collection' exhibition, which was part of New York Fashion Week in February 2012. She wore an Oscar de la Renta costume.

She announced in December 2013 that she would not be returning to Univision's Nuestra Belleza Latina for seven years and that she wanted to produce her own television show in the future. Chiquinquirá Delgado took over the host's position as host.

She began selling her jewelry and bedding collections for Gi by Giselle Blondet at Walmart in Puerto Rico in June 2014. The company has thrived around the island, and by fall 2014, it was projected to reach the United States. "Tengo 50...Y que?!" She also wrote a second book titled, "I hereby agree." I'm 50, so what?! ), a line of anecdotes aimed at women who are looking for a new sense of independence as a result of the age of 50. The book's anticipated publication date was also in Fall 2014.

She joined Telemundo in January 2016 and was the host of Gran Hermano USA. After one season, the program was cancelled.

In February 2017, she returned to Univision to be Pequeos Gigantes USA's host.

Blondet returned as the presiding judge during Nuestra Belleza Latina's 2018 season.
