Early and personal life
Georgina Caroline Italiano was born in Brighton, Victoria, to Italian parents Anita Bonollo and Nicola Italiano. She is one of four siblings. Bettina Liano and Teresa Liano are two fashion designers.
Liano was diagnosed with cancer in 2003. After 12 months of chemotherapy and radiation therapy, she went into remission. She has been divorced twice and lives in Melbourne.
Career
Liano and her sisters began operating a chain of boutiques in 1985. Liano was admitted as a solicitor in 1997 and then joined the Victorian Bar in 1999. She works in criminal law, intentional torts, corporate law, family law, and employment law.
