Gerry Cowper Career

Career

Clare France, the youngest of the female triumvirate in BBC Radio 4's After Henry, which also starred Prunella Scales and Joan Sanderson, was Cowper. Though Scales and Sanderson reprised their roles in the later television version, Cowper was considered too old to play a teenager on screen, and Janine Wood took the lead.

In the BBC comedy series Yes Minister, Cowper also played Lucy Hacker, Jim Hacker's daughter, although only in one episode. Lisa, Trigger's niece Lisa, appeared in two episodes of Only Fools and Horses, "Tea for Three" and "The Frog's Legacy" as Trigger's niece Lisa, and she appeared in Bachelor Father as Lisa. Cowper made an uncredited appearance in Alfred Hitchcock's Frenzy (1972) and appeared Rowan Morrison in the horror film The Wicker Man (1973).

Cowper briefly appeared in Lindsay, the mother of a schizophrenic called Matt, before her on-screen EastEnders companion. Hope Corday appeared on Law & Order: The United Kingdom in 2014 as Hope Corday.
