Georgina Helen Henley (born 9 July 1995) is an English actress best known for her role as Lucy Pevensie in The Chronicles of Narnia's film series.

Early life

Henley was born in Ilkley, West Yorkshire, where she attended Moorfield School for Girls before attending Bradford Grammar School. Rachael and Laura are her two older sisters. In The Chronicles of Narnia: Lucy Pevensie, the Witch, and the Wardrobe, Rachael played Lucy Pevensie.

Personal life

Henley was a sponsor of SOS Children's Villages, an international orphanage that helps orphanage or abandoned children. Henley is a student at the University of On the island of London, England.

Henley revealed she had developed necrotising fasciitis six weeks into attending Cambridge University, and that the disease had "nearly claimed [her] life."

Lucy Pevensie made her acting debut in 2005 film The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe, based on the United States. The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe is Lewis' book. The film earned over $745 million worldwide. In the 2008 sequel The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian and the 2010 sequel The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader, Henley reenacted Lucy Pevensie.

Henley has appeared in the stage play Babes in the Wood, which ran from 27 January to February 6, 2006. She appeared in We Will Rock You, a Bradford Grammar School production, from 13 to 16 March 2013. Jane Eyre's child Jane Eyre appeared in the 2006 BBC adaptation.

In the crime-drama Perfect Sisters, a film based on the lives of two Canadian teenaged sisters who murdered their mother, Henley appears as Beth. In The Sisterhood of Night, Henley plays Mary Warren. In April 2015, the film was released.

Henley studied English and appeared on stage in Play It Again, Sam by Woody Allen; The Trojan Women; A Clockwork Orange by Anthony Burgess; and in the CUADC/Footlights annual pantomime. Henley has also supervised films, including co-directing Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street and After Seymour (the latter of which she co-wrote). Henley wrote and directed TIDE, the tale of a teenage lesbian couple in 2015. Henley appeared in the film Access All Areas in late 2016, starring Nat. Henley will appear in The Spanish Princess, based on Philippa Gregory's book The Constant Princess (2005) and The King's Curse (2014). She was announced in January 2019 as a cast member of a new Game of Thrones prequel series, but it would not be picked up by HBO.
