To many, Gary Johnson, from Houston, Texas, was a strait-laced professor at a local community college - but there was much more than met the eye. Because, for more than a decade, he moonlighted as a fake assassin - working as a decoy for police and turning in potential clients who had been trying to hire a trained killer. His life is set to be the basis of Netflix's new comedy film titled Hit Man - starring Glen Powell - but here, FEMAIL has explored the true details of the case ahead of its release.

ONDERS OF THE PYRAMID: The truth bites at the crisis club that was once saved by a dog, and Torquay United will need a similar miracle to keep them from oblivion

It's not difficult to imagine how they fell into this wretched mess. The tale begins with poor governance at board level, rather than an owner living beyond their means for those of Southend, West Bromwich Albion, Reading, Bury, and Rochdale. Clarke Osborne and Gaming International, the investment company that has tried - and failed - at sports ownership in Torquay, is the case. Three of their projects at speedway clubs in Reading, Poole, and Swindon ended with those clubs going out of business.

Football League and National League are two different groups

www.dailymail.co.uk, April 19, 2023
With the agony and ecstasy of relegation and promotion being determined, the Football League and the National League seasons are on full throttle. Burnley has already qualified for promotion to the Premier League, Forest Green has been told they will be out in League Two next year, and nobody knows who will dominate a three-horse competition for the League One title. If they defeat Boreham Wood at the Racecourse on Saturday, it could lead to Wrexham's 15-year suspension from the Football League. With 107, the Dragons have already established a National League record point total. With four games or less remaining for clubs in the Championship, League One, League Two, and the National League, the competition has never been more intense. Mail Sport takes a closer look at the various permutations...

Meet Madonna's (not so material) sisters! One runs a vineyard and another loves quilting

www.dailymail.co.uk, March 3, 2023
Her hair is back and showing a smattering of greys, she beams, her naturally radiant face creasing with happy laughter lines. In fact, forget botox; her skin appears entirely make-up free. This is, of course, Paula Ciccone, Madonna's niece. It's impossible to believe that this smiling, highly normal-looking 60something is even vaguely related to the global superstar, let alone one of her closest relatives. Even as her beloved sister continues to revel in dissatisfaction, her appearance at the new Grammy awards, where she appeared almost ironed of all imperfections and character, not to mention the emergence of her sixth and new toyboy, a 29-year-old chiselled boxer who has been training one of her six children, is a very different life.

Three players are up, three others are down, and the National League is long overdue

www.dailymail.co.uk, December 24, 2022
Before getting into why the National League is long overdue for a third promotion spot, take a look at the worst four teams in League Two this season. Rochdale, 21st, have won just four of their 20 games; Hartlepool United, in 22nd, have only three victories out of 21; Colchester United, second bottom in 23rd, has three wins out of 21; and rock-bottom Gillingham have three wins from 20: astonishly poor two wins out of 20 on the board. Two of those teams will still be in League Two next season, and we point this out. Enough is sufficient. It's time to put an end to mediocrity and give the National League their third promotion slot.
