Milton French-Stewart (born February 20, 1964), better known as French Stewart, is an American actor and dancer best known for his role as Harry Solomon on the 1990s sitcom 3rd Rock from the Sun and as Chef Rudy on the sitcom Mom.

Early life and education

Stewart was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico. His mother was a homemaker and his stepfather was a microfilm technician, and he was a filmmaker. He attended Del Norte High School and later attended the American Academy of Dramatic Arts.

Personal life

Katherine LaNasa, a Stewart married actress who appeared on 3rd Rock from the Sun as a guest on a 1996 episode. In December 2009, the two divorced. In June 2011, he married actress Vanessa Claire Smith. Helene Claire Stewart Stewart Stewart, their daughter, was born on June 28, 2013.

Career

Stewart appeared in regional theatre for seven years before moving to television, playing Razor Dee, a spaced-out DJ on the final season of The New WKRP in Cincinnati in 1992. He earned his Screen Actor Guild card while on duty with Hanna-Barbera's Shakey Quakey tour, but he was banned later for removing the head of his costume in front of children. Stewart appeared on 3rd Rock from the Sun, which lasted for six seasons, and where he was known for his physical comedy and his signature "squinting" facial expression. He appeared in numerous advertisements and as a spokesperson for the beverage Clamato during 3rd Rock's peak of fame.

Stewart's most notable film roles include Stargate (1994) as Lieutenant Louis Ferretti, Leaving Las Vegas (1995), The Poison Tasters (1999), Love Stinks (1999) as Earl Doppler (1998), McNHale's Navy (1999), Clockstoppers (2002) as Nathan Bennett IV, and Magic Island (1995) as Duncan Bennett IV. Bob's animation credits include the voice of Bob in the short-lived animated series God, the Devil, and Bob (2000), as well as Disney's animated series Hercules (1998) as Icarus.

Stewart has appeared in a variety of minor roles, including Just Shoot Me!, Becker, The Drew Carey Show, Less Than Perfect, and That '70s Exhibition, since 3rd Rock closed in 2001, mostly in situation comedies. At the conclusion of season 2, NCIS, he appeared in the WB's Charmed as a genie. He has appeared in comedy films, with major roles in the direct-to-video films Home Alone 4 (2002) and Inspector Gadget 2 (2003). Gaston Le Mode (2008), he appeared in the "Run Away Runway" episode of Disney's animated series Phineas and Ferb.

Stewart has appeared on MADtv and appeared in the Seinfeld episode "The Opposite." On VH1, he can also be seen on the I Love The... series. He was executive producer of Has Anyone Seen My Baby?, a Lifetime network drama that portrayed a woman who lost her child on an African safari in the early 1970s. On NewsRadio, he also appeared as the "weird one" office temp.

In Watson's Last Great Tale of the Legendary Sherlock Holmes, Stewart produced and costarred, and he appeared in the Sacred Fools Theater Company, where he is a member, as well as co-artistic director of the 2012–2013 season. Buster Keaton, the original play written by Vanessa Claire Smith, appeared on Sacred Fools in May and June 2012. Richard De Longpre on Allen Gregory appeared in 2011.

Stewart appeared on NickHD television show Marvin Marvin, playing Marvin's Uncle Steve on April 20, 2013. Rudy, the CBS series Mom, appeared on CBS in 2013 as the series regular Chef Rudy.
