Forrest Wheeler (born March 21, 2004) is an American actor.

He was cast as Emery Huang, a series regular on ABC's Fresh Off the Boat, in 2014.

Personal life

Wheeler was born in Santa Monica, California, on March 21, 2004, to a Chinese-American mixed family. He speaks Cantonese at home and learns Mandarin in school. He attended Campbell Hall School in 2022 and now attends New York University.

Wheeler, a martial artist, competed in the 2014 US Open ISKA World Martial Arts Championship, winning seven 1st places. He earned his first black belt in 2015 and second in Extreme Martial Arts (XMA).

Career

Wheeler began acting in the film The Incredible Burt Wonderstone, opposite Steve Buscemi, where he introduced a rabbit as a pet for Wheeler's dinner.

He appeared on commercials and many television shows and movies before landing a role on ABC's comedy series Fresh Off the Boat. Randall Park and Constance Wu, his television parents, play the middle son of the Huang family.

Wheeler appeared on the Hallmark Channel's Home and Family on March 3, 2015, where he talked about Fresh Off the Boat. On February 4, 2015, the series premiered.

Wheeler appeared in the "Best Child Actors of 2015" on October 28, 2015.

Wheeler developed an internet series in 2016 focusing on the Asian American Youth community in the hopes of encouraging the youth from around the world to go out and be active and curious. Wheeler embarks on a journey to find what it takes to be an action hero in "The Forrest Wheeler Adventures" series.

Wheeler hosted Kore Asian Media's 16th annual "Unforttable Gala" on December 19, 2017, where he interviewed award winners and celebrities, including Maggie Q and Ross Butler.

Wheeler was listed on "Hollywood's Top 30 Artists Under Age 18" by the Hollywood Reporter on August 8, 2018.
