Eve Hewson Life

Eve Sunny Day Hewson (born 7 July 1991) is an Irish actress.

This Must Be the Place (2011) was her first major role in the drama film This Must Be the Place (2011).

In Steven Soderbergh's television series The Knick (2014-2015), she played Nurse Lucy Elkins.

Early life

Hewson was born in Dublin, Ireland, and the second daughter of activist Ali Hewson (née Alison Stewart) and U2 lead singer Bono (Paul David Hewson). Her name is derived from her age and date of birth (7 am on July 7th), as "eve" is the word that refers to "seven" in the middle. She has an older sister, Jordan, and two younger brothers, Elijah and John. She studied at the Dublin School Project and St. Andrew's College in Dublin and New York University. The song "Kite" was inspired by a moment when Bono brought a kite up on Killiney Hill with Hewson and her sister, but the kite blew away and smashed.

Personal life

Hewson lives in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. She graduated from New York University on May 22, 2013; her father, Bono, declined an honorary Doctorate of Humane Letters from NYU on the same day.

"I don't get paid money," she has said, and I never will."

I have to work!

"I get called Memphis Eve," says the girl, but my first name is Eve.' I'm sure Memphis is somewhere, but on my passport, I'm Eve Sunny Day Hewson.

From 2010 to 2015, Hewson dated One Tree Hill actor James Lafferty.
